Buyers' Premium is currently 15% of the hammer price plus VAT at the current rate on the 15%.

So, for example if you won an auction item for £100, the actual amount due would be £100.00 + £15.00 + VAT.

Please note, that bidding online will incur a surcharge of 3% plus VAT. This will be collected by Gerrards on behalf of the Antiques Trade Gazette.

Gerrards are more than willing to accept commission bids or telephone bids. Such bids do not incur any surcharge.

If you bid online via The Saleroom (Antiques Trade Gazette), the following will apply:

In completing the bidder registration on www.the-saleroom.com and providing your credit or debit card details and unless alternative arrangements are agreed with Gerrards you

i) authorise Gerrards, if they so wish, to charge the credit or debit card given in part or full payment, including all fees, for items successfully purchased in the sale via the-saleroom.com and

ii) confirm that you are authorised to provide these credit or debit card details to Gerrards through www.the-saleroom.com and agree that Gerrards are entitled to ship the goods to the card holder name and card holder address provided in fulfilment of the sale.

On special items, mostly high value lots, the above premium may be negotiable prior to the sale at the proprietors discretion.

We are able to provide a Post and Packing service at reasonable cost. All items are sent insured, either by Royal Mail Special Delivery (for UK Clients) or by Royal Mail Signed for service for overseas Clients.
